Washington DC-snow or not-here we come
Travelling to DC by train the day after Christmas-our first vacation in ten years! Staying at the Morrison-Clark and walking, metro or cabbing it for four days. Interested in art exhibitions, Smithsonian, WWII stuff, deli eating, and free music. Almost cancelled due to the blizzard--y'all dug out yet? Open to suggestions-thanks!

Enjoy it. Check under my user name for a trip report on DC from this past June. Our biggest highlight was the Portrait Gallery or the WW2 Monument. Take your time and enjoy it.

There is still snow on the sidewalks but there are paths shoveled. It should not have an effect on your trip unless you wear inappropriate shoes.
|
The worst after-effect from snow in DC is the icy slush at curbs. Have waterproof footwear or be able to leap 3-4 feet across the soot-gray slurpee at many intersections.

Check out this great TR on DC
