Washington DC Limo recommendation???
Does anyone have any suggestions for a limo service in downtown DC? I wanted to take my teenage daughters out on the town to see the monuments lit up and was thinking it would be fun to rent a limo.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hi Helen,

My husband and I have used Crescent Executive Sedan Inc. many times, for going from the Maryland suburbs to the airport.

They are very professional, on time, and the sedans are very clean. I think you have a choice between a regular sedan or a strech limo.

The number is (202) 388-5466.

Have a great time.

no suggestions but you reminded me of my limo experience in DC. A few of us flew into the airport in DC and took taxi's to the hotel in McLean VA. We didn't realize (or got ripped off) that the price they told us was per person not per car load. It was very expensive. On the way back we all agreed that we needed to negotiate with the taxi driver. It was 5 of us and 1 taxi couldn't take us. I then noticed there was a limo parked out front while a wedding reception was going on inside. I asked the driver if he could take us to the airport while he was waiting. The bride would have died. He charged us $50 and gave us a tour before taking us to the airport. He used to be a tour guide so he drove us around all the monuments. Everyone looked at us like we were some important hot shots... it was fun and cheaper than the taxi. I hope he got back to the hotel in time to take the bride and groom away. This was the same trip where the conference hotel was overbooked so they reserved me a room at the Ritz next door. I wasn't feeling good and the customer in front of me was complaining about her room not being ready. I finally interupted and told them to give her my room. I was going to take the train (not the taxi) into DC to walk around. When I returned that evening they thanked me and upgraded me to a suite. At the Ritz...too bad my husband wasn't there to enjoy it with me. It pays to be nice!!!

Helen - Last year my husband and I used Ogilvie Transportation web site otslimo.com - phone # (301) 598-0591 I booked and prepaid online and didn't know what to expect. And it was great -white brand new strech limo was at our hotel on time and took us on a 3 hour night tour of DC. You won't be disappointed! First class all the way and for $187.00 for 3 hours you can't beat it! (at least that is what we paid in 2000) We skipped dinner took snacks and drinks with us to have on the "tour". The driver took us to all the night monuments, we got out as we wanted and even spent some time at a nice bar. Don't miss this! We booked it for 7PM.
Arnow Transportation. Most of the attorneys in my workplace use them all the time. Gene, the husband, also gives tours. Family run, reliable and very nice people.
+1 (800) 428-2588 or locally (301) 294-0823

we use Red Top Sedan service -- they serve DC and VA. Reliable and moderate price.

I use Burki limousine Tel: 877-665-3292 from Dulles to DC because they charge $65 and don't charge me for waiting or parking or those other nasty add ons. Their cars are Lincolns and their drivers know the city. Cheaper than a taxi, because on occasions I have had to wait in a line at Dulles just to get one.
