I'm an avid reader, so the Library of Congress is definitely on my must-do list!

At the Library of Congress Building (is it the Madision, the big one not the one with the dome?) there is a good cafeteria on the top floor. Great view, VERY reasonable prices, plain good food.

Sure hope you have advance tickets to the Holocaust Museum.
It's spring break and it will be incredibly busy. If you get in, it may not be for the first tour. You may have to come back for a later tour.
Good luck, I hope you get in.

Thanks for all your input. We're leaving in the next hour...The Library of Congress cafeteria may fit into our schedule; sounds good. I did reserve a time for the Holocaust Museum and am greatly looking forward to it.

M Martin: I probably missed you but I hope you brought your coat. It is cold and VERY windy here today, like 40 mph, and is supposed to be blustery through next few days at least.
