I'm attending a conference at the Capitol Hilton (K St & 16th), but it's full. I'm looking at two nearby hotels-Westin and Crowne Plaza Hamilton. Which do you recommend? Thanks

Of the 2 I think the Westin is a nicer hotel but I'd stay at either place.

Five to seven minute walk from either the Westin or the Crowne Plaza. I'm assuming you're talking about the Westin at 1400 M Street just west of Thomas Circle.

If obxgirl is referring to the "W" you may want to look at their website. We stayed there last fall. I was not at all impressed. One review billed it as "a club with rooms attached." That is pretty much what it is. And the rooms were decorated for 12 year old girls.

We had issues with our room keys every day. Our friends has issues every time we came back to the hotel. We are pretty much "go with the flow" people but if you may ever be presses for time I would not want to have to deal with the front desk.

I commented on the Westin Washington DC City Center. at 1400 M Street NW. Not the same hotel.
