Washington, DC - best NEW restaurants - advice please!

We are spending a few days in DC in early December and need suggestions of terrific NEW places to dine. As former residents, we know the standards - but we're out of touch with changes over the past year or so. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

R and T

Washington Post restaurant critic Tom Sietsema is very partial to Corduroy's (12th & K) and Cashon's Eat Place (Adams Morgan).

Acadiana at 9th and K (if you can get a reservation). The latest from the guys who brought you DC Coast.

Hi R and T,

OK, but where did you make those reservations? Inquiring minds want to know!

Thanks to all for your input, but our decisions remain our own. We respect inquirers, when that's the case. Not all of the places listed are new or that stellar, and remember we asked for the new. Most we know already.

Well, you must be a joy at parties.

lol, two more inquring minds. Sincere apologies, of course. We reserved at ALL of the places listed. Didn't wish to disappoint anyone. I like this site, its sensitivity is great. Thanks again for all the posts.

Ouch! Sorry R and T - glad you have a sense of humor.

On a different note, I recently dined at Cafe Atlantico when visiting. I did enjoy it. Is it considered either new or semi-stellar by those in the know?

Thanks, and yes, Atlantico is very, very good - own Jaleo as well as I recall. Take care.
