Washington DC area B&Bs

Hopefully, I will be going to the inauguration in DC in January. Can you recommend nice and inexpensive B&B's near the Metro line in the area? I just want clean, safe, and inexpensive. Thanks.

Here's some info on Washington area B&B's that I recently e-mailed to my mom. Hope it helps!

_The Taft Bridge Inn (B&B), 2007 Wyoming Ave. NW, 202-387-2007 (I live down the street and had no idea this place was
a B&B! It's OK looking from the outside, I always figured it was a
group home... 2 minute walk from bus stop. 10 minute walk down Conneticut to DuPont metro.)

_ Adam's Inn (B&B), 1744 Lanier Place, NW, (202) 745-3600 (This is a cute, great place to stay. The owner is really cool. It's in Adams Morgan tho, so you'd have to take the #42 bus or walk a bit to the Woodley metro.

_ The Dupont at the Circle (B&B), 1604 19th Street, NW, (888) 412-0100
(This is right near the DuPont metro)

_ The Inn at DuPont Circle (B&B), 1312 19th St. NW, 866-467-2100 (Same
deal as above)

_ The Windsor Inn (B&B), 1842 16th St. NW (A 10-minute walk from DuPont metro)
Web: http://www.windsorembassyinns.com/

_ Art Studio Bed & Breakfast, 1705 Q Street, NW, 202-483-4077 (About 2 blocks from DuPont metro.)
Web: http://www.artstudiobandb.com/

_ Kalorama Guest House at Woodley Park (B&B), 2700 Cathedral Ave nw;
Phone: 202-328-0860 (Shouldn't be too far from Woodley Metro stop.)

I hear, the B&B at 1600 Pennsylvannia Avenue is quite nice. Sure, it might cost you $50,000 or $100,000 a night, but if you remember that it's tax deductible, then it really brings the cost down dramatically.

HA! I hear the owner of this charming B&B might be moving out next month.... ;)

HA! I hear the current occupant of this charming B&B might be moving out next month.... ;)

As I understand the lease terms, the current occupant will get several weeks' notice if his lease is not being extended, and will have to move out on January 19..

Thank you, dcmalia, for the great suggestions. I had found 2 of your recommendations and will get to the others. Love the other comments and hope that the lease runs out.

This is an extremely helpful list. I am trying to find a place to stay in DC in Feb 21-25 and am finding a lot of places are already booked. Is anyone familiar with the Inn at Dupont Circle or the ARt Studio B&B? They both have rooms for less than $100.
