Washington DC and vicinity

I am going to DC for few days in the beginning of April, I have been there many times so I want to visit sites that are different than the obvious ones (monuments, museums, Georgetown)
and even within an hour to an hour and half distance such as the Great Falls, any suggestions for seeing something different ?

Thank you for your response

Sorry, but in the absence of a list of what you have already seen, or a statement of your interests, I don't know how I could possibly provide an informative response -- other than to recommend that you consult a recent guidebook or two. Good luck!

Old town Alexandria definitely has some charm and the torpedo factory is fun if you enjoy perusing art galleries

if you are up for a drive, shepherds town in West Virginia is charming--- plus a lot of the drive is quite scenic and goes through historically significant areas

Harper's Ferry and then Berkeley Springs, WV make a nice trip. Not far from D.C. and has lots of scenery and history.

My apologies for the frustration of my initial response.

Have you been to Baltimore? If not, you might consider spending some time there, or even a night or two....
