Washington DC (and Arlington) shopping
Hey everyone,
I'll be attending a wedding in Arlington and will have some free time to shop. Would like suggestions for both work clothes (suits) and fun, maybe a little funky, going out clothes. We have all the chains here (Nordstrom, Dillards etc) so looking for something a bit more unique. Found a cool shoppe in LA that i'd love to find in DC - polkadots and moonbeams (polkadotsandmoonbeams.com) anyone familiar with it? I know DC has to have similar places. Any suggestions greatly appreciated! |
I would think Georgetown would be a good bet.

Thank you so much for those awesome lists!
Any in particular that you'd recommend? |
At first glance "Mexx" in DC and "Hysteria" in Alexandria look like must sees. Since i'm not sure if or when i'll have access to a car, whats the best way to get there? Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Can anyone recommend moderate restaurants in the area of the Arlington Hilton Garden Inn? Would rather not have chains but something unique to the area, fun, or festive? Thanks.

This is just one great place - it's the food that makes it great.
http://www.kabobbazaar.com There are dozens of other choices within a block or two of the place above that would also fit the bill. To get to the "restaurant area" from your hotel walk 1/2 mile east on either Wilson Blvd. or Clarendon Blvd. or take the Orange Line one stop and get off at the Clarendon stop. |
