A girlfriend of mine just got the Hilton Garden Inn Arlington/Shirlington (free shuttle to the Metro stop at Pentagon Mall) for $175/night.

Try the Woodley Guest House. It is a B&B by the zoo. You can see the Metro station from the front porch. I have stayed here twice while traveling alone and have felt very safe in the neighborhood at night. There are many restaurants within walking distance. A nice cold breakfast is included in the price of the room.

PatN..I just looked at Capital Hilton website today & there are several $149,99 a night choices under Best Rates again

Just type in your dates...my dates are 6/11 with checkout 6/13
