sue - you are correct, but blatant stupidity oft-times requires a response/correction.

Charleston is a charming city. I would spend more time there than Myrtle!

suewoo May 19th, 2010 02:20 PM

Right. And it's out of the way with no real scenic route.

thanks everyone, and please stop the debate :) I only want to visit myrtle just as a one off whilst in Charleston but I am not that disappointed if I don't get to see it to be honest. Seeing a bit of the mountainside and spending time with my friend, her husband and the newborn are far more important to me, and Charleston looks beautiful so I am sure we will find plenty to do there.

We are driving from Charleston to washington
Which is better route in terms of more beautiful, scenic, better place for stop over among Charleston To Washington via blue ridge mountain or via North Carolina and outer ridges

Please help me. Driving savannah to Charleston and then to Washington. Confused which route is most beautiful drive, to stay on way, to detour and see sights. We have no time limit. Should we go Charleston to washington via blue ridge parkway or via North Carolina /outer ridges route
Please guide
