Walt Disney World Tickets

Is there any such discount for a one day ticket to Walt Disney World.

Not that I have ever seen in 15 years of visiting there.

Disney doesn't even pay travel agents commissions on one or two day tickets. Most of the legitimate discounters are not able to offer even small discounts until about the 4-day ticket.

And be careful if you try to save money by buying the remainder of a pass on-line (eBay, etc). While many have had usccessful experiences doing this, you have no way of knowing if you are buying a used up ticket or not. I would not risk it to save a relatively few dollars.

I agree with the above post. A lot of times, when in Orlando, you will see billboards that will say "see Disneyworld free" or "Disney at a discount." A lot of times these are a big rip-off, or come with a huge catch.
I've heard horror stories of people who have purchased such tickets and they were not valid at the Disney gate.

If you think you will ever go again, you might want to consider buying a multiday parkhopper pass with the "no expiration" option. DH and I bought 5 day passes on our honeymoon in 1987 and just used the last day on the passes a few years ago. We have since purchased a 10 day pass (park hopper with no expiration which ended up being about $30/day). Prices are only going to go up. The parkhopper is great because you are not confined to one park - we like to "sample" the parks and see the new things when we go. If we use one day every couple of years we figure the new pass could last us another 20 years!

Another caveat for purchasing unused days on Disney passes -- Disney now requires finger scanning at the gate for many tickets to prevent transfer of tickets from one person to another.

i question the whole finger scanning thing. my husband and i both have multi-day passes with no expiration. we each take a ticket, go through the gate, and then store them back together and one of us carries them. i highly doubt that we've both used the exact same ticket each time we've gone through a gate. and we've never been questioned. leads me to believe the finger scanning thing isn't really doing anything.

I was told that that our tickets were tied together because they were purchased together and that the finger scans are also tied together in the record.
