Walt Disney World Info

We're going to Disney in September and staying in the park at one of the hotels with a kitchen. Is there a place inside Disney to get groceries to save a little money.

Kelly Aug 14th, 2002 06:27 PM

There really isn't, but one of the Towncars, I think Tiffany, stops at the grocery store for 30min en route from the airport. www.tiffanytowncars.com Also, you can check www.disboards.com for any other specific questions about WDW, the people there are very helpful & friendly.

Right near Downtown Disney, at the Crossroads Shopping Center, is Goodings. A bit overpriced, but one of the closest stores.

Ah, Derek surely you jest! Buying something in Disney World "to save a little money." Let me help you out... nothing in Disney World is actually cheaper than buying it somewhere outside the World. Having said that, there is a great shopping center right outside of Disney World located very close to Downtown Disney - The Crossroads. Anything you might want to stock-up on will be found there, as well as some inexpensive "family" restaurants. Buy your groceries there and dine there a few nights and you will have saved yourself some money, good luck. I love Disney and have been there many times. Hope this info helps. Post again if you need anymore info.

Derek, 99.99% of car services will stop for groceries so don't be deceived into thinking that Tiffany is all by themselves. I've used many, many car services in Orlando and all offered to stop "for free"

Hi-We were in Disney last April and went to Goodings at the Crossroads Plaza. Prices seemed fine-but we are from Northeast metropolitan area where everything is expensive. My one recommendation for Disney is to rent a car even if you are staying on Disney as we did. Not only is it much more convenient than the Disney transportation, you can pretty much shop whenever you need too. Hope this helps.

Wouldn't renting a car defeat the purpose of saving money?
