Walt Disney World

Would like to visit Walt Disney too costly to stay on site. Could you recommend hotels on International Drive accessible to transportation and restaurants. Thanks

You have looked at places such as the Music, Sports, All-Star and Caribbean Beach, right? How much are you going to pay to PARK at Disney?

With the I-Ride Trolley http://www.iridetrolley.com/map.asp almost all I-Drive restaurants and hotels are easily accessible, except to/from Disney.

If you mean that you want to stay on I-Drive and get to/from Disney then your options are a rental car, hotel shuttle or the city bus, Lynx http://www.golynx.com/?fuse=cstm&app=route

Best Western Lakeside is terrific and I've seen it as low as $39 per night. But when are you going, how many people do you need to accomodate? do you have a car to park (or will you need to pay for transportation from Orlando airport) etc.

The Hilton Hotel I stayed at, along International Drive, had a free shuttle to WDW. Once at one place (say, WD Studios) you can ride the Disney shuttles to any of the other sites.
Also, staying at the Hilton gives you the same Extra Hours privileges you get while staying on site. And, yes, they DO check your room key!
