Waldorf Astoria

I can get this hotel for $100 a night on priceline. Is this a good hotel? How far is it from Times Square? I'm going to New York for a theatre weekend, so I'll be spending lots of time in the theatre district.

Yes, it's a fabulous top-rated hotel. Rather formal and full of business travelers, though. It's on Park Avenue at 49th, so you'd have to go just a couple blocks west to get to the theater district. If I were planning a trip, I'd grab it!

At $100 per night, you'll probably be getting a staff room or closet, so be prepared to get what you paid for.
You can NOT guarantee this hotel, Nick. If you bid $100, you may very well get another property. FYI. Priceline allows no specifications to be entered other than general area and quality level.

I thought I had NY's biggest hotel bargain when I got WA at the last minute for $179.

If you have figured out some way to get a specific hotel guaranteed on Priceline, please post the details.
