Waitress Service within Yankee Stadium
I could be mistaken but I recall hearing that the field box seats directly behind home plate at Yankee Stadium had waitress service. Is this full lunch, dinners?
|
rofl. they have waitress service, but it is the same food you can go up and get for yourselves--hot dogs, sausage & peppers, burgers, fries. The service is slow and not worth the trouble unless you are in the middle of the row and climbing over 6 people is a pain. Have fun! Yankee Stadium is great, even if the food does suck.

I sat in Ted Turners box in Fulton County Stadium (by absolute fluke of the universe) and the best waitress service we got was some guy selling popcorn, peanuts, beer, and hotdogs out of a box.
Traveller, could you be thinking of the corporate luxury sky boxes most NFL stadiums have? They usually have catered thingys. Most baseball parks don't have the capacity. |
There actually is such a thing...although the food is catered, nothing I would call great (believe it or not) as I've had 2 people I know end up in these seats by a fluke. However, this was near the commentators area, and it was mainly prepaid big corporation season seats, and therefore, next to impossible to get.

That's OK. I'll just get up and get my own food, not expecting anything more than hot dogs and the usual.
We were given tickets which I think look good from the poor quality seating chart which was enclosed. Field Box 18, Row J, seats 1 & 2. If I'm reading it correctly, it looks like they're behind homeplate just towards the 3rd base side. |
I do the field boxes 1x per year as a family trip with my brother whose company has seats. We always order from the server - male or female (waitresses???) so we do not miss the game - its a nice perk and incidently, not available at the evil Fenway unless you are in the front 3 rows (and no beer either!!).

Yes, they have it. I've never found it to be terribly useful probably because I've never found the food servers to be overly ambitious when it comes to walking around finding those who would like to order. At times, they seem to be as scarce as a Red Sox World Series Ring. (Rimshot, please)
Rather than wait an inning and try and get their attention, I've always found it easier to simply get the food myself. As stated, it is the same food you can get inside. The only time I've had better than the average food at the Stadium is in one of the luxury suites. Otherwise, the cheap seats and the expensive ones all get the same mediocre, overpriced food. |
I love to dine and love the yankees but i only go to the game for the game.It is best to have a beer & a Hot Dog.You can never go wrong.
