Waikoloa Beach Marriott, Big Island - Current Construction Status
 

I'm wondering if anyone has stayed at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott recently and can comment on the current construction status. My husband and I are using points to stay there at the beginning of Oct., but I've read some unfavorable reviews recently. We will spend most of our time exploring the island, so would it really be that bad? Thanks in advance!

Sheryl, check out trip advisor for this, there are current reviews. I know this is not recent but we stayed there back in Feb/March before they torn down the front entrance and we had an awesome time, much better than we had expected BUT we were not sleeping in, spent very little time in the resort and our room.

Thanks for your reply, ohanaman1! I've checked tripadvisor (hotel review and the forums) and also found an ongoing thread at flyertalk after the initial post. We're keeping our expectations low and hope to be pleasantly surprised.

If you don't get any info here try Trip Advisor. There are some BI residents that post alot there. They have been saying that my favorite BI hotel is really a mess.

If this is the Sheryl who is the moderator for the Bidding For Travel site, I would like to know why I was banned from the site? What did I do to deserve it?
