Does anyone have an opinion on this place?

I am interested as well. Have been considering it for an upcoming trip, but it is not easy to get info about it.

Other than the fact that it's kinda wedged between the high rises, it's a very nice place to stay. And you get privileges at their sister hotel across the street -- the acclaimed Halekulani Hotel.

Stayed there about 4 years ago. It was good for the money - I got a very good deal as I recall w/ breakfast. You're close to the beach, and the hotel was good. As I remember, just don't expect a view or anything too exotic.

I stayed there in March, and thought it was a pretty good value. We had a deluxe oceanview room, with breakfast for two, for about $200 per night. I think parking would have been included in that price, but we didn't have a car.

The good: It has a nice, quiet feel to it, which I enjoyed after walking through some of the other, very busy hotels. The breakfast buffet was substantial and pretty good. It is a sister hotel to the Halekulani across the street, and as such you have signing privileges there (but not pool privileges). We spent several enjoyable evenings at House Without a Key, and signed it to our room. The pool is about half way up (can't remember which floor, maybe around 12). It isn't big, but it was quiet, relaxed and not crowded.

The bad: I don't have any major complaints. The rooms are pretty small. It didn't bother us for a couple of days; it might have been an issue if we were staying longer. The view was fine to the ocean and we could see up in the direction of the airport as well, but the Sheraton blocked any view to the south/toward Diamondhead (not sure if that is an issue for all rooms). It is not on the beach, but it is a very fast walk to get there between the Sheraton and the Halekulani. The beach is not great at this point, but it won't take long to walk to a better part of the beach.

If/when I go back, I would absolutely consider staying there again.
