Waikiki Banyan
 

Has anyone stayed at the Waikiki Banyan in Oahu? I realize that it is 1 block from the beach. Can anyone recommend another condo nearer the beach? Most of the ones I am finding seem to be approximately 1 block away. Thanks!

Dinah, <BR> <BR>The only condo right on the beach in Waikiki is the Outrigger Waikiki Shores, all oceanview and oceanfront, studios, 1 & 2 bedroom apts. with kitchenettes. They've just been renovated, you have all services available to you right next door at the Outrigger Reef, great location! They start at $185 night, but you can get the Entertainment Card for $30, and save half on the rooms. A great deal - Outrigger always comes through! Have a great trip. (Waikiki Banyan also takes the E. Card, I believe, but the Outrigger location is better!) Aloha!

The Wakiki Shore does look very appealing. I saw a picture of the views from some of the units and they looked spectacular. <BR> <BR>However, I checked the listing of participating accomodations on the Entertainment.com and the Wakiki Shore was not listed. <BR> <BR>The Waikiki Sunset and Banyan were both listed and appear to be similar properties. <BR> <BR>Are they both 1 block from the beach? That really is pretty close.

For the price, Waikiki Banyan & Waikiki Sunset are not bad! It's not a far block from the beach, either. I used to park at Waikiki Sunset all the time.

I've stayed at the Banyan once and quite liked it. Keep in mind that as each unit is privately owned, the decor can differ from unit to unit. The unit we stayed in was quite nice and well taken care of. I'd recommend the Banyan.
