Harrahs las vegas meeting place??
I'll be going to vegas and meeting up with a bunch of friends who are all traveling from different part of the country and, therefore, arriving at all different times. We are all staying at Harrahs and I'm wondering if there is some easily landmarked location where we could all arrange to meet. Tentatively, we were just going to watch for each other in the casino but if anyone has a better sugestion, we'd appreciate it!!

Not to sound negative, but you're kidding, right? Keep an eye out for each other IN the casino? I've lost people in a row of slot machines! I don't have a specific name, but arrange to meet at a specific restaurant in the hotel? Or have the first person to arrive leave messages at the front desk for the others for when they check in? Cell phones? Have fun; hopefully someone can name a specific place.

C'mon Sandy....the casino at Harrah's isn't THAT large. Not the most efficient way to meet people, but not prohibitively difficult either.
Heck, you could decide to meet around any of the blackjack or roulette tables along the front of the casino (closest to the strip sidewalk) and you'd all be able to meet up fine and entertain yourselves while waiting.
As a back up, have each person check in at the front desk with a message as they arrive.

Harrahs is one of my favorite spots in Las Vegas....good rooms, good location, good price....lousy pool...
Actually, the recommendation for the front desk is totally appropriate. Harrahs is one of the few places where you can check in, and immediately find the elevator without walking through the casino.
Enjoy...

Hey RocketScienceBlahblahblah, If you read the original post, Barb was asking FOR a meeting place suggestion. The current plan was to "keep an eye out for each other". I challenge you to sit at a slot machine or table and locate 10 of your friends scattered around in different parts of the casino.

Thanks to those who who offered non-sarcastic responses!! Since I am totally unfamiliar with Harrahs, I was hoping maybe there was a central bar or somplace ASIDE from standing around the front desk from 6 p.m. to midnight. Leaving a message is certainly an option and, "rocketscience", "john" and "me", thanks. You probably were the most helpful. (see how easy this can be???)

Barb, we stayed at Harrah's last year and I agree with front desk suggestion. They have nice plushy circular seating all about the area. I found the casino layout very confusing and had difficulty getting oriented so I don't think that would be such a good idea. If my memory serves me correctly there is an outdoor bar area with a thatched roof and performing stage that would be easy to find, but the heat might be unbearable.Have a great time.
