VRBO for both Oahu & B.I.

Going to both islands next September. Any recommendations from VRBO as to which places/units to avoid? Looking at North side of Oahu and Kona area on B.I.
Mahalo!!! Would rather not do resorts.

For the BI I'd recommend either Kanaloa at Kona or Kona By The Sea, or the Kona Makai or Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff.

Avoid the Kona Bali Kai if you don't like young and usually rowdy locals hanging around.

Whichever unit your choose, be sure to look for independent references.. Condos are individually owned so furnishings and upkeep will vary greatly.

Uh, what's VRBO? Does everyone just know what this stands for?

Steve,
vrbo.com stands for vacation rentals by owner. It is a site for owners of vacation rentals to advertise. Check it out.

Doh! I can't imagine the general travel reader would know this, but now that you are posting the answer, it does ring a bell.

Thanks for the explanation. OK - I'm done hi jacking this thread. :o)

No experience with this property but I have booked it for my daughter and friend for next June. The owner has been a delight to work with and it has had positive reviews.
