I’ve recently rented cars in California and DC for personal use and for sure, cars are getting to be so expensive it’s often a higher cost than the airfare.

observations:

1. Try autoslash.com

2. Try Sixt.com

3. I think this far out the prices tend to be high. I wish I knew the right time to book, but I’ve seen low prices even 6 weeks out. You can always book now and cancel when cheaper shows up.

4. If you want something off airport try closer than downtown. But I think something will work out at the airport or a free shuttle away. There’s a nice train to dtwn from the airport but there are a few transitions to get to it.

Note that if you booked JetBlue or Sun Country you’ll end up at Terminal 2 so rent specifying this terminal if it’s not too much more, getting to Terminal 1 means some shlepping.
