Visiting the Pacific Northwest

My adult family will be visiting the pacifc northwest the first week of August. Need suggestions on sightseeing, restaurants and exploring. We're renting a house 1 hr north of Seattle. Thanks!

San Juan Island, Olympic National Park, North Cascade, Mount Rainier, Deception Pass State Park. I guess you have passports if you want to go into Canada?

Also, a drive over the Cascades on route 2 out of Everett to Leavenworth might be worthwhile.
