Visiting The Museum Of Failure
Where can you see everything from a vintage Edsel to a device that can translate your dog’s bark into the English language to a children’s doll that looks like something out of The Walking Dead?
One of the relatively new phenomenons are Pop-Up Museums that stay in cities for a few weeks or a few months. Last week, along with friends Dan and Linda, Tracy and I visited the Museum of Failure, surprisingly not a museum that chronicles my educational career.
There are more than 100 items and ideas, failures one and all. The permanent museum is in Sweden, and there are plans for the traveling Museum of Failure to eventually visit other cities in the United States. So think about munching on a Swedish Fish Oreo or a potato chip containing Olestra (you might want to be near a bathroom if you do), and enjoy the Museum of Failure. To fail to do this would be wrong.
