visiting Seward

We are planning a trip to Alaska June 2008 and I am looking for a recommendation for lodging in Seward either a B&B or nice hotel
any suggestions?

I have stayed at the Edgewater Hotel on three separate occasions and found it to my liking. Like most of the hotels outside Anchorage its emphasis is on clean and comfortable lodging without luxury. They serve a continental breakfast and have a computer for internet access. It's a block from downtown, right on the bay, and about a block form the SeaLife Center.

We stayed at the Edgewater and would stay there again--loved the location and view of the bay from our room.

I appreciate the input. I will check out the Edgewater.

The Harborview Inn (a hotel) has a lovely off-property duplex. We stayed at this lovely place and it is right accross the street from the bay (beautiful views from the living room)
The duplex features 2 bedrooms and is beautifully decorated. I would stay there again.
