If you will be there on a weekend before Sept. 26, you can ride the historic electric trolley. https://www.fortcollinstrolley.org/ Ft. Collins has two historic downtowns with restaurants and shops: Old Town Historic District and the River Downtown District. Rocky Mt. National Park is an hour away with some great short hikes: https://www.earthtrekkers.com/best-h...national-park/

Also, the Kreutzer Nature Trail in the Cache de La Poudre Wilderness in the Rocky Mts. is 45 minutes northwest of town. The Walrus Ice Cream Shop has delicious homemade ice cream.
