visiting chicago

Our trip to Chicago has been delayed a couple of days. I decided to look for information on some more attractions.
Has anyone been on the "Duck" cruise? And would you suggest the lunch or dinner cruise. How is the food? Our kids are in their teens. Would you suggest a different cruise? Thanks for your imput!

I haven't been on the duck cruise in Chicago, but my kids have enjoyed the one in Boston.

Several years ago, my husband and I took an architectural cruise of Chicago--I'm not sure teens would enjoy it, but it certainly gave us a good look at the city. We loved it.

If you have teenagers I would not suggest a dinner or lunch cruise- esp if you are at all concerned about price$$$. THe price for any of the cruises with meals are expensive, starting at 50$ per person and the food isn't anything to brag about.
The best boat ride for the money is the Sea Dog- which is a nice 1/2 hour ride for 16$, and goes very fast along the Lake front. Your teens will love it! And so you will you- esp if it is hot. If you really really want to indulge in a dinner cruise- the Duck (yellow & white boat) is the cheapest and has ok food, the Odessy is 85$ I believe and terrible food. Hope you ahve a great time!

ks,
I really don't know anything about dinner cruises in Chicago but I highly suggest a game at Wrigley Field! Even if your not a big baseball fan, it is an authentic major league experience!
Better yet: Take in a game at Comiskey Park -- The Sox are actually winning...

OK Sabrina!- you have made an excellent point. Seeing the Cubs is truly an "authentic" baseball experience- especially in the bathrooms. Last time I was at Wrigley Field it took be 2 full innings to use the Women's facility and it took over 2 hours to leave the area and proceed home. As we were leaving after a Sox win, one Cub fan was heard asking another "What inning is it?" We then watched them trip/fall down the steps and join a group of semi-dressed girls who inquired if they could go to the bar now.
