Virgins in Florida

My wife and I are visiting Florida for the first time in February. We have a week to spend aftera 7 day cruise. Naples Area looks interesting. Despite the strength of the £ against the $ we are looking for hotels or motels at the lower end of the market. up to $150 a night. We will have a car and are in our early 60s. Any advice or recommendations please. Murray

No advice, sorry; just wanted to compliment you on your thread title.:D

Your options here in Naples in February at that price are pretty much going to be limited to the chains which are east of town. I'd suggest you hit something like Hotels.com and review prices for that time, although I'd probably end up booking direct with the hotel/motel.
I think the Fairfield Inn (or the less nice Red Roof Inn next door) both near the Gordon River Bridge are the most convenient to the beach and downtown Naples -- far better than those way out by the tollbooth to Alligator Alley.

Try the Vabderbilt Beach Hotel. It's a beautiful stretch of beach and since you have a car won't have to be in the "middle of the action"

Good idea, LLinda, except it will be well over $200 a night with taxes!
