Virginians, unite for advice!
 

Need a quick idea for Memorial Weekend.
We live outside Richmond. Hate crowds. Have thought of the beach, (Outer Banks), the mountains, but open to ideas. Want something driveable, since it's just a 3 day weekend. Have done so many things around this area, can't think of anything "different". We also have 2 teens.

Southwest of Richmond, in the suburbs.
Do you mean Eastern Shore of VA or MD ?

I know that it is close to you but what about Williamsburg and Jamestown. We were just there this past weekend for the 400th anniversary and my 2 teens loved it

Rent a cabin from www.chestnutcreekcabins.com on the New River Trail(www.dcr.virginia.gov/state_parks/new.shtml ) and spend the weekend biking, fishing, horseback riding, hiking and enjoying the absolute quiet. Perfect place and no crowds. Have fun!
