Vintage Subway Cars in operation for the 2018 Holiday Season
As in previous years the MTA will operate a train of vintage (1930-1940) subway cars.

The train will operate on the following Sundays - November 26, December 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31.

This year the train will take a slightly different route than last year. It will leave the 2nd Avenue (Houston St) station on the 'F' line. Traveling uptown making all local stops on the 'F' line to the W4th St station where it will switch to the 'D' line and travel up to 125th St (St. Nicholas Av) in Harlem.

The train will leave 2nd Avenue (Houston Street): 10 AM, 12 Noon, 2 PM, 4 PM

The train will leave 125th St: 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM, 5 PM

After leaving 2nd Avenue (Houston Street) the train will stop at:
  • 2nd Avenue
  • Broadway – Lafayette Street / Bleecker Street
  • West 4th Street – Washington Square
  • 34th Street – Herald Square
  • 42nd Street – Bryant Park
  • 47th-50th Streets – Rockefeller Center
  • 7th Avenue
  • 59th Street – Columbus Circle
  • 125th Street
The trip back to 2nd Avenue (Houston St) will stop at the same stations (but in reverse order)

There is no cost to ride the train other than the initial cost ($2.75 or $3.00 for a single fare card) to enter the subway.

Note: there is no mention made if vintage buses will be in operation this year.
