Views at Wailea Rennaisance
 

OK, for those of you that have stayed at this hotel...what is the difference between the following views:

-Terrace
-Garden
-Ocean

I currently have terrace view. Can upgrade to Garden. 1K reward points short of moving to Ocean view )-:

Is it best to just take a chance on getting a free upgrade? I tend to have that luck as a business traveler. What are your thoughts?

When are you traveling? It depends if it is a busy time of the year or not. I have stayed at the Rennaisance but in the Mokapu suite. It was awesome being so close to the water...fell asleap each night to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore! Heavenly!

And a guess about the views would be that the terrace view faces the back of the hotel (parking area), the garden view faces the side of the hotel, and the ocean of course faces the water. Just so you know, the parking is very discreet...they have the cars well hidden from view.

According to their description, the room faces Haleakala. Which is the back of the hotel.

I'm wondering if I should take a chance on being auto upgraded...hmmm

Going to think about it a few more days before I make my final decision.

I am interested in this too. I am going from Apr 24- May 1 and staying at the Renaissance. Also a business traveler using points to stay there for leisure... do they normally give free upgrades? Any ideas how I could swing this? Thanks so much!
