Hey Danny- I have lived about 20 min north of Vero for 16 years. I must say that there isn't anything too cheap that is worth your stomach. Everthing good will fall at least into the moderate category. Keep in mind that Vero is a beach resort town. This is I am assuming, that you want Vero Beach specific restaurants and not chains. Of course Vero has everything like TGI Friday's, Chili's, Apleebee's, Ruby Tuesday's, Outback, and all fast food. I figure that you want area specifics, so here goes-

Quilted Giraffe- 1327 21st ST. 561-978-4242

Ocean Grill- 1050 sexton Plaza 561-231-5409

Black Pearl- 2885 Ocean DR. 561-234-4426

The Patio Restaurant- 1103 21st ST. 561-567-7215

Swenson's Restaurant-(ice cream)-1902 US HWY 1 561-569-9824

Most of these places given the location serve a lot of seafood (which I can not stand) but they have nice atmospheres and serve higher quality food. Expect entrees to be anywhere from $10-20 sometimes higher given the entree choice. If you are looking to save money you might want to just consider sticking with known chains.

If you have anyother questions feel free to ask on this board or email me.

I would second the Ocean Grill...the blue cheese appetizer is the best. The service is always impeccable

We live in MIAMI and always like to up there once a year and stay at the Palm Court Hotel. It's a nice little getaway from MIAMI. We usually just go to the Chili's, outbacks, etc. And really wanted to go to something more local. We have always seen a restaurant just north of the palm court hotel right on the beach. Its a wooden restaurant. does anyone know if it is any good. Is this the Ocean Grill?

Swenson's??? hmmmm...
Bobby's is yum! Give that a go. It's on Ocean Drive. The wooden place you mentioned is probably the Driftwood. Ocean Grill is adequate and may be as good as you'll get in Vero unless you are a member of one of the country clubs there. Not much in Vero...never has been and probably never will be...
