Venice - Do the private water taxis stop where the public water taxis stop??

We are still not sure where to stay our last night in Venice. We have a 6:25 am flight and we are wondering if the private water taxis pick you up close to your hotel or do they only stop at a certain location. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

This is the U.S. Board. Over at the Europe board you should have more luck.

You'll get a lot more responses to this on the European forum, but I will try to help.

In my experience, a private water taxi will pick you up at the closest location to your hotel/lodgings.

Price is typically 80-90 euro, depending upon where you are departing from towards the airport.

You can do a text search on the European forum and find a lot of info on this subject.

Have a great trip to Venezia. It's such a wonderful city.

venice, california or venice, italy in Europe?
Taxi stops where you want them to stop if they have a water access to your hotel. For detailed and most acurate information contact your hotel but first take advice from Cricket

You should be able to schedule a private water taxi to pick you up early enough. The public vaporetto won't run early enough for you. Email your hotel and ask them if they can help you schedule a private water taxi early enough. The private boats are 4 or 5 times more expensive, but it's probably better than having to stay a night in another hotel on the main land.
