Venezia Towers at Venetian, Las Vegas

The Venetian Hotel website is advertising their new Venezia Towers, to be opened this month. Has anyone had a look? We're planning on spending a couple of days in Vegas this summer, and I hesitate to stay at the Venetian after reading a lot of reviewer complaints, but maybe the new tower rooms will be better? Or should I stay at the 4 Seasons or Bellagio to be safe? We're not gamblers, and a nice hotel room is important!
Thanks!

I went to the Venetian recently and our rooms were great! The new towers were not open (they were putting the final touches on them). Our rooms were perfect and the staff there was fantastic! (I too had read about the mold, etc.) I would go again in a second--especially if they keep having the cheap prices on Priceline.

I'm surprised you've found posts from people NOT happy with the Venetian--most people on this forum love it...including me! Had a great time staying there. New towers were not open yet though.

Yeah, I don't know what someone's expecting that would result in being disappointed with Venetian?!?! You can't go wrong with Bellagio or 4S, either. Take your pick and you should be fine.

I agree with the previous posts. I know there has been a lot of back and forth between the Bellagio fans and the Venetian fans but I don't think you could go wrong with either hotel. The Venetian suites are very nice. I'll be staying at the new Venezia Tower this summer but from what I understand they are about the same size, just differently appointed. Additionally, they will have their own check-in a pool/garden area.

Well, I'll take issue with the Venetian. I've stayed there twice in the past 6 months. I've stayed at Bellagio about 7 times, Four Seasons once.
If you're not picky about hotels, I suppose they're all about the same.
If you're picky about little things, Venetian is a cut below the other two.
Lots of little things add up: the sheets are cheap, the pillows small and cheap, lots of cheap materials used (furniture, upholstery, shower etc), many surfaces worn (carpet, upholstery), showers just OK, and Venetian has the borderline cheezy Las Vegas theme (overdone paintings, gildings, average casino trappings).
Bellagio was built to a much higher standard (and cost a lot more to construct on a per room basis).
Four Seasons is very nice, but not as nice as virtually every other FS I've stayed in (about 15).

I'd have to disagree with TedTurner. My most recent stay at the Venetian was in April and I did not find any of the surfaces worn, found the bed very comfotable and think the bathroom is great (and I am picky about hotels).

if you're planning to visit vegas this summer, go to cheapovegas.com and check out the reviews. also go to travelzoo.com, click on lodging/vegas and you'll see that the venetian has some amazing suite specials this summer. if you're flexible they can be a great option.

For tom42: give me an example of what you consider to be a world class hotel bathroom. Like top 10 in the world quality. Frame of reference is key.

I'm still debating between the Venezia Towers and the Four Seasons... I figure if the towers are new, how bad can they be? But there sure are a lot of bad reviews of the Venetian over on TripAdvisor...
Thanks for your input!
