venetian win

Was doing some reading on biddingfortravel when I noticed this "great deals at Venetian" offer and decided to click on the dates I need in Nov. Am excited to say I managed to get a booking for 3 nights at $138pn which is a 35% discount. Had always been warned to beware when something is unbelievably cheap. Any comments?

Must also add that they charge for one night if you cancel at anytime. That's ok, we're definitely going and the Venetian is OK.

If it is where you wanted to stay and you aren't picky about whether or not the room has a "view" what's not to like?

I just returned from staying 3 nites at the Venetian for $139. I got the rate thru vegas-promotions.com. I was also skeptical about the rate. The room was upgraded (without asking) when we got there. It was great! Big room with two separate areas (seating/sleeping). Extremely efficient operation. And a view of the strip! , two tv's, huge bathroom, etc. Beautiful hotel, great location. As for restaurants in the hotel--extremely disappointing meal at Enoteca (Mario Batali). On the other hand, Delmonico's (by Emeril) was excellent, as was Grand Cafe.

Sorry, i should have got a bit further with my concern...I booked through easyclicktravel.com via the BFT site. Just haven't heard much feedback about them. Anyone had any good/bad experience using them?

panecott Aug 20th, 2007 07:10 AM

I've never used them but I've read recommendations for BFT and I think they're reliable.
I once bid on Skyauction.com and got a week at the Hacienda del Mar in Cabo for $375 total. I thought they'd put me in a closet for that price but I got an ocean front suite. Only catch was they tried to sign me up for a time share promotion when I arrived. I declined and that was that - no problems.
It's not unusual for hotels to have promotions when they're not fully booked so I wouldn't worry too much if I were you.

thanks panecott for your assurance....why I am concerned is because this is the Venetian and it is in Nov, not exactly an unfilled room, unless they ARE going to put us in a closet!

Dukey Aug 20th, 2007 04:02 PM

NONE of the rooms at The Venetian are closet-sized...they are all "suites" usually with the sunken seating area and the very nice-szed bathroom.

I doubt you'll find youself in the Venezea Tower and you may not get a view but I really don't think you have much to be concerned about.

As I wrote in my earlier post, I just got back from a similar deal at the Venetian. Actually, we were upgraded to a room in the Venezia Tower and we did have a great view of the strip, so sometimes a good deal is really a very good deal!!
