Venetian or Caesar's Palace

Going to Vegas in April. Which one is better?

Neither is "better". If you give some details on what you're looking for and what you're gonna do while there, we can help. It's not like comparing Four Seasons to Motel 6.

If the prices are the same, I would recommend the Venetian. You can always walk across the street and enjoy Caesars' facilities, but IMHO the Venetian is a nicer place to stay.

Also of note is the fact that Caesars has a lot of construction going on in the casino area. They are almost finished with Celine Dion's (sp?) new showroom, but the area that used to be the food court is all walled off with constuction going on.

VENETIAN!!!!! we were just there during thanksgiving...caesar's is a little tacky!! venetian is a little further down the strip but it's worth it...venetian is almost TOO elegant for vegas but it's very clean and nice...good shopping mall...krispy kreme booth in food court near casino...have fun!

I stay at both. Venetian's standard rooms (suites) are nicer than Caesar's, unless you book a Palace Tower room. The pool at Caesar's is much better in my opinion. Although there is some construction going on - they are building a new restaurant- I would think it may be done by April. The construction for Celene's theatre is almost done and will definitely be complete by April as she is scheduled to start performing in March.

Both are very good hotels. If you don't book in the Palace Tower though, I would choose Venetian over Caesar's.

Venetian is still tacky...just not as tacky as most LV hotels.
If you put Venetian in Chicago or NYC it would be a laughingstock because it's too glitzy overdone, but in a fake-y way.

Standard rooms at V are much better than CP's.
CP has better shopping overall.
CP's pools are much better than V's.
