venetian, aladdin or mandalay?

I have narrowed my choice to these 3 resorts but need some input on which to choose. We are looking for a nice hotel, good pools and a central location.

Except for Aladdin, I don't think there is much of a difference. Aladdin has not been getting very good reviews but does have a good location as it's more "Center Strip" than Mandalay Bay or Venetian. Venetian is at one end of the Strip and Mandalay Bay is at the other end. By "end of the Strip" I mean the Venetian is the last of the beautiful, new resorts before places such as Stardust, Riviera, etc. Mandalay Bay is at the beginning of the Strip and has the best pools. I'ts also connected to Luxor and Excalibur (I think) via tram. Mandalay Bay might be your best bet in terms of location and pools but Venetian probably has the nicest rooms. Venetian is close to Paris, Treasure Island and Mirage. Hope this helps!

I don't know much about the reviews at the Aladdin, but regarding the other two:

Mandalay Bay is known for their great pool area (which has a "beach" (i think) and a wave pool). However, it is the southern most hotel (and even a good distance from it's neighbor Luxor, although there is a monorail which will take you there). I've heard it's a "service oriented" hotel that is going after the "young affluent" market.

Venetian, although ONE of the more northern strip properties, is in MY favorite area of the strip (as it is right near Mirage, Treasure Island, Caesars). It's neighboring properties are very close and you can easily walk from one to the other. It's an all suite hotel with spacious bathrooms. The pool area is nice (one large pool, 2 smaller pools, and a separate whirlpool area), but you won't find any waterslides or such there.

You can see consumer reviews of all 3 choices at:
http://www.a2zlasvegas.com/hotels/rate-st.html

All three are beautiful resorts. Venetian will probably be the most expensive out of the 3. They have large rooms, suites I believe. Aladdin is beautiful too. Resort rooms are large with huge marble bathrooms. Mandalay Bay has the nicest pool area. They have sort of a beach. The only thing about Mandalay Bay is the area. Its all the way at the beginning of the strip next to the Luxor. Venetian and Aladdin are centrally located.
Have fun!!

I have stayed at both Mandalay Bay and Aladdin. I have never stayed at Venetian, but I would love to try it. We loved Mandalay Bay. The pool area is fabulous and the hotel is beautiful. Lots of nice restaurants. The only negative is it's location. As mentioned in other posts, it is quite a distance from the center of the strip. There is a monorail from Mandalay Bay to Luxor and Excalibur. You can then walk from Excalibur to Monte Carlo and take another monorail to Bellagio. We were disappointed with the Aladdin. We stayed there in February. We got a very good rate of $69 and it was certainly very nice for the money, but it isn't my favorite. I didn't really care for the theming of this hotel. I think the Venetian would be a very good choice. Good location, absolutely beautiful hotel and I understand the rooms/suites are outstanding. You really can't make a bad decision between the hotels you have chosen, but I would choose the Venetian or Mandalay Bay.
