vegetarian restaurants in Dupont/west side D.C.

I am staying in D.C. for a weekend in August at the Westin Grand on M. St. and attending an art event in the Dupont circle area. I would appreciate restaurant ideas for a vegetarian (who eats dairy products, just not meat) on the west side, Dupont. Adams Morgan area where we could get to from the hotel or the Phillips Collection areas of Dupont.
Thanks very much in advance. The new vegetarian is my teen daughter and I am totally unfamiliar w/finding a place she can eat some good interesting food that is not just a sideline on a regular menu.

I'm not even vegetarian but I LOVE Java Green (at 19th & L, a little south of Dupont circle):

Also, on their "links" they list all their competitors (other vegetarian restaurants).

Nirvana at 1825 K Street NW received great reviews from Wash. Post critic Tom Sietsema when it opened about two years ago.

On your daughter's behalf, thank you. I was a teen vegetarian and my dad always took the family out to steak restaraunts...always. I can't tell you how many times I heard, "It's great - you can have a salad bar and a baked potato!" Yippee.

Here's some links to vegetarian restaurants in DC. Enjoy your trip.

The other option is the numerous ethnic restaurants that DC is famous for. There seems to be a Thai restaurant on every block and they have a lot of vegetarian options. Same for Indian or even Ethiopian or Meditteranian.
