I was in Vegas last week and swam in the heated Bellagio pool every day...a couple of other hotels also had their pools open.
We were surprised at the amount of children of all ages that we saw with their parents. There is a huge video games arcade in the New York, New York Hotel. And a host of other stuff aimed at kids. Trying to shield teenage boys from sex advertising strikes me as ridiculous, by the way. But that is not my business. |
Eks - apparently you've never looked @ the materials they hand out on the Strip. They are not, ahem, teen appropriate.

I've only been to Vegas in the winter and its been too cold to swim and all the pools I've seen were closed except for the pools at The Wynn.
There was something about the Wynn hotel and the way it was placed because it was only about 55 outside but out by the pool I'd say it was in the 70s. The pool at The Venetian was actually empty, sans water. |
The pool at the Venetian is definitely not empty now! The Bellagio pool was in the high 80s and was FABULOUS for swimming!
I did see those ads for girls handed out on the strip--all I saw were a few topless women with phone numbers! It would be hard to avoid them while walking on the strip, I must admit! Maybe they did not give us the really raunchy stuff! |
