Vegas Summer

Is anyone going to Vegas this summer?

FainaAgain May 18th, 2007 01:12 PM

yes

John May 18th, 2007 02:09 PM

Nope. No one at all. Closed for the summer

FainaAgain May 18th, 2007 02:36 PM

Las Vegas closed? Why didn't you tell me, John! I haven't insured my trip, how can I get my monies back?

boom_boom May 18th, 2007 03:02 PM

I'm sorry to say, but yes...3rd week in June. I hate the place, but wife loves it, so we go 2-3 times a year. If only it were really "closed for the summer" so I could avoid it in June.

FainaAgain May 18th, 2007 03:20 PM

Boom-Boom, I feel your pain :) My husband loves heat and casinos, so we trade-off the trips. I was on a cruise in January, Mexico in April, and we're going to Vegas last week of May.

trippinkpj May 18th, 2007 03:34 PM

I'm going to Vegas, mid June (3 nights).

Pumpy May 18th, 2007 05:20 PM

I just got back a couple weeks ago and I can't wait to go back. Has anyone been to Mandalay Bay?

Claudette May 23rd, 2007 10:57 AM

yes, the week of July 6-13

TexasKat May 23rd, 2007 11:01 AM

Yes, love it there. Will be there July 1-6

bashfulLV May 23rd, 2007 11:14 AM

Here you all are - CHOOSING to come to this godforsaken dustbowl in the summer when I (and many other LV locals) are doing our darndest to get OUT and cool off! But come on over and keep the economy going ....

Boxer May 23rd, 2007 01:25 PM

I'm leaving tomorrow from Vancouver, BC with 2 other gals.

Gee, do yah think it will be busy in Las Vegas on Memorial Day weekend???

What were we thinking?

Staying at The Flamingo ... what are the chances that we get 3 lounge chairs together and not have to stand in line at 5:00 a.m. to do so??

Tee hee ...

bashfulLV May 23rd, 2007 02:51 PM

Boxer - since you'll be at the Flamingo - if you have time, try to catch the Society of Seven show in the afternoon in the showroom. They are really talented musically and very funny and have a great female singer with them. The show is about $50-something per person which is a bargain on the Strip.

TahitiTams May 23rd, 2007 02:51 PM

Just got something in the mail from the Wynn...$119 a night up to 5 nights along with $100 free play...
I'm thinking maybe August when its so frigging hot..
I love being on their list..

lvk May 23rd, 2007 03:21 PM

We're passing through there on our way to and from our Lake Powell houseboating adventure in August. TahitiTams, that Wynn deal looks good! I wonder if we can park our boat trailers in their structure? :)

trippinkpj May 23rd, 2007 04:11 PM

I'm guessing those five nights on Sun - Thurs. Still, that is great for the Wynn TahitiTams!

TahitiTams May 23rd, 2007 04:20 PM

Hey trippin..
If I went 5 days to Vegas, I think they would have to call Betty Ford and Gambler's Anonymous on me.. :)
Going 3 days/2 nights but still a great deal for the Wynn..
Have fun in Vegas trippin!!
