Vegas show suggestion for a veteran

We have seen: Mystere, Mama Mia, We will Rock You, Scintas, Follies, Blue Man and a couple of smaller productions.

What would you think is next? I am considering: "O", La Reve, Love. Possibly Danny Gans. Any thoughts on those?

I am also considering a second like Fab Four at Aladdin...any experience?

Thanks!

How about the Phantom of the Opera? I've read the special effects in Vegas are even better than what we've seen before.

As an avid theatre goer, I have little desire to see this new production of Phantom. First of all it is so short, they must have cut about a third of it out. Special effects or not, if I'm seeing Phantom of the Opera, I'd like to see the whole thing.

placeu2, I'd aim for Love. We're going next month, but sadly Love is dark for the week while we're there. On the other hand O remains my favorite show to date.

The Phantom is shorter in Vegas? How much shorter? I didn't know that.

A shorter Phantom? That's the only way I could sit through it again!

Phantom runs about 90 min. in the Vegas version. They have cut out some of the dialogue but added more special effects.

You might consider seeing "Love" at the Mirage (it's the new Beatles/Cirque show).

You do not say when you are going but Gordie Brown opens at the Venetian in the Fall. He is very good (impressionist/comedian) and has appeared at the Golden Nugget for the past few years.

I have seen Phantom in L.A. and in London. I just saw it here in Vegas two weeks ago. I was flabbergasted. It should not be missed. The 90 minute run time was not an issue at all. It didn't feel like anything was missing. The whole show was a feast for the senses (and I am not easily impressed).

I can recommend both "O" and La Reve. I preferred La Reve, but I'm probably in the minority. In any case, both are very good.

The Producers is coming to town in the fall. If your visit isn't until then, that might be an interesting choice.

Danny Gans!!!! We have seen him about 5 times and yes I would still go again to see him. Also, Clint Holmes is supposed to be excellent, have not seen him yet, but want to. For a good and not as expensive ticket as others, try Splash at the Riviera. Great Las Vegas style show with the showgirls. But, first I say you MUST see Danny Gans!!!!!!!

We saw Clint Holmes and he is OK, does remind you alot of a lounge act, with a large band behind him.

I would probably not go see him again, but he is reasonably priced and the theater is pretty initimate so you are up close and personal unless in the back tier, and then you are still got good sight lines.
