I thought of something else too. The best meal I have ever had in Vegas was at Valentinos at Venetian.
The steak my husband loved, not as much as Delmonicos I don't think but it was a great meal!!!

Everyone else I have talked to that has eaten here has loved it as well.
I think I will go next time

On the restaurant front..
We had a very nice mexican meal at Bamboleo at the Rio. I would recommend it. Also had a nice steak experience at Binions, too bad about the shut down. On the other side of the coin had a marginal steak dinner at Gallaghers @ NYNY. Meal was good but the total experience was not worth the price IMHO. I have a friend who raves about the steaks at Sams Town (reasonably priced) but do not have 1st hand experience.

Binion's is supposedly scheduled to reopen in the next few weeks -- my husband loves Binion's and has been following the potential reopening closely.
But if not, we've had 2 stellar meals at Delmonico at the Venetian (which you could do before/after Danny Gans -- Mirage is just across the street). we saw gans about 2 years ago and still talk about how good it was.
Also, the NY Times did a review of Vegas steakhouses in early January I think. Search the website for info, but as I recall, Prime came out on top with Craftsteak at MGM second.
We stayed at bellagio on part of our honeymoon. If you can, upgrade to the suite. We had a "regular" room (which would be the same as your lakeview) and were disappointed with the size & amenities after our experience at the Venetian. I have heard consistently good things about the suites though.
have fun!

I haven't eaten there yet but when I peaked into Prime I thought it was the most beautiful restaurant I'd seen. Something about that dusty blue with the silver accents and brown wood. Can't wait to try the steaks.
