vegas rrestaurant for 40yr old bday party

Hi all - I'm out of practice and posted this in the general section by accident; so here it is again. My husband and I are going to Vegas for Labor Day weekend for his 40th birthday and will be joined by some friends. I'm looking for a good restaurant for a group dinner but want to respect everyone's wallets! We are all 40ish, and we are the steakhouse/mexican/ italian food types as opposed to fancy french. I would think about $100 a couple would be okay with everyone. We're staying at The Hotel at Mandalay Bay. Someone suggested the Stratosphere but I wonder if that will be too pricey. Any ideas are much appreciated.
Thanks!

I think Il Fornaio at the NYNY would be a good choice. Good italian food, in your price range (probably lower) and handy to Mandalay via the Tram to Luxot to Excalibur which is next to NYNY.

Mandalay Bay has many choices that might suit your needs.

For upscale Mexican, you might try the Border Grill. It's a little pricier than typical Mexican, but well within your budget.

For a little more money, you could go to Rum Jungle. They have a meal that is all-inclusive. The food is Brazilian consisting mainly of different meats hand-carved from large skewers tableside. Last time I was there, this meal was $38 per person. It's probably a little more now.

Have you considered an upscale Sunday brunch? The Four Seasons Hotel is located inside Mandalay Bay. Their coffee shop is called the Verandah Cafe, and being the Four Seasons is very nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating next to the Four Seasons pool. The last time I went the Sunday brunch was $25 per person. It was delicious and very relaxing, plus the service was impeccable.

Canaletto at the Venetian. The menu can be found at IlFornaio as it is an upscaled version of IF.

Can't remember if you need 6 or 8 people to get one of their special private room/tables that overlook the canal but be sure to ask!

Nob Hill at the MGM is fantastic, but it might be a little over your price range. Definitely worth looking into. It's cozy and the food is yum. Also, if you aren't opposed to going off the strip, try Hank's at Green Valley Ranch. Great martinis and steaks. While there you can stroll through The District and make a nice night of it.
