Vegas question (newbie)

Is march considered "high" season in Vegas. we areplanning on visiting in march and the deals are not to spectacular right now. I guess I should wait a few months before booking.

It may be too early to book. Discount rates get posted 3-4 months in advance. Do a search of this site to find the website for conventions. If there is a major convention then book ASAP. Or just book something with a hotel directly so you can cancel without penalty, and then watch it for rates chage.

Make sure to avoid March madness because hotel rates go sky high during that time period.

March-May and Sept.-Nov. are the high season in Las Vegas. You should be able to book relatively soon - most tour companies have their rates for the next year ready by Sept.

If at all possible, try to go the last week of Feb. I agree with the last post March Madness, hotels go nuts on rates. It won't make a difference if you book now or later, chances are you won't get a good rate either way.
