Vegas Pools

Going to Vegas in July to celebrate 50th birthday with a group of 5 couples. Looking for hotel recommendation with best pool. I love the pool at Mandalay Bay, but want to be closer to mid-strip. Don't want to deal with a bunch of kids and also looking to rent cabana. Not impressed with Paris pool. Considering Venetian, Wynn, Bellagio, but open to suggestions. Any recommendations?

Caesar's is mid-Strip, their pool is very nice, and it does have cabanas to rent. There are few kids there because the pool is just a pool; there are no slides, wave pools, etc.

Ditto on Caesars. They also have a topless pool where practically nobody goes topless (except the guys) and it keeps out all the kids. But there aren't that many kids at the main pool anyway.

I'll vote for Caesars as well, I think you want to steer clear of the Wynn, isn't it over by the Rio, or at any rate, off the strip ?

What about the Mirage? Might be a good place as it doesn't really cater to families other than the Secret Garden, but I think most hotel guests (the only ones allowed to use the pool) will be thsoe without kids. In answer to SAnparis, no the Wynn is not by the Rio, it is on the Strip. Which also might be a good choice because it isn't a real kid friendly hotel either. We were just there a few weeks ago for dinner and they do not allow strollers (unless a guest) in hotel, most will avoid for that reason alone.

I had a lot of fun in the Bellagio pool in August. I don't have much to compare it too, though, as I haven't been to any other pools on the strip. You should look on http://www.cheapovegas.com, on the right hand column, under "Cheapo Sleep" click on "Best Swimming". They have outlined the best pools in Vegas (after intensive research, of course.)

VN - So where is the Wynn (or what is it close to) I guess is a better question ?

the wynn is right on the strip- across from the mall down past the venetian

Caesar's pool/cabannas....hands down

SanParis, the Wynn is on the corner of LV Blvd. and Spring Mountain. Across the street from the Fashion Show Mall and next to the Venetian.
Maybe you are thinking of the Palms, it is off the Strip near the Rio.

I'm either overrating, overlooking something or overindulging my appreciation of the experience, but has anyone enjoyed The Four Seasons- adjacent to, but secluded from, the Mandalay Bay pool complex? I understand that it doesn't fit the recommendation for "mid-strip" and I agree with Bellagio and Caesars as advice to you Bons. I've also enjoyed The Mirage. Although I found it a bit cramped and crowded. Any feedback on The Four Seasons? Just curious.

I liked the Caesars pool the last time we stayed there and I like the Bellagio pool, too.

Face it..Mandalay Bay had to do something to offset their less than "ideal" location on The Strip.

realtorseena Mar 2nd, 2006 05:56 AM

the pool at paris is on the 3rd floor, so no long walks. it is nothing special, but very few children. there is shade and an excellent outdoor restaurant. i do love the hotel.paris has excellent resturants and a great location

thanks for the reply. Last time we stayed at Alladin, loved the breakfast buffet at paris and Bon Ami Gabi. I'm considering the Eiffel tower restaurant this time.
