Vegas-Nascar Race

I'll be in Vegas next Feb/Mar exactly when there is the Nascar Race. I'm waiting for the hotels offers to make a reservation. My question is if because of this event there won't be any good offers and I better book a hotel now?

Book a hotel now. You can always cancel.

The speedway is about 25 minutes away from the "Strip" however.

What's the name of the trailer park you live in?!?

Ted,
You don't need to be so rude. I' don't live in US, I'm not american and I bet I know much more about other countries than you do. And of course I'm not a coward not to give my email address when I insult someone.

I think Bally`s might have a package deal...you`d better make reservations now, they`ll honor a lower rate.that happenend to me and they gave me the lower price and credited my card....get on the hotel e-mail list for specials...the rooms will all book up....people make them a year in advance

book now and then periodically check for better deals. i double you are going to get any great offers. the city will probably be packed and that's when the hotel raise their prices.

Simone,
We happended to be in town last year at the same time as that race. It was not as crowded as I anticipated. However, it was probably more crowded than the typical non-holiday weekend. (The good part is that on Saturday and Sunday afternoon the race crowd is gone, which means the pools/tables/restaurants are less crowded!)

In terms of deals, most of the people are probably staying at the more modest accomodations. (Although, we did see several people at Bellagio in their racing paraphenalia.) You probably can get away with booking 3 to 6 months ahead.

we were there last year too..we booked 11 months in advance because we had a 11 people group and wanted to stay together..good thing we did..my husbands co-worker tried to book rooms, shortly after we did and couldn`t rooms or a room anywhere in Vegas and they were all booked...he had to take a fly/hotel deal to get a room for a family wedding..so book early...we did get an e-mail specila later on and the hotel honored it..so book now and don`t be disapointed.....you can always cancel...there`s always something goig on in Vegas and you can`t count on booking last minute..sometimes rooms are at a premium..
