Vegas- Monte Carlo, MGM, or Paris?

Time for another vacation. I always get such great advice on this site SO Which of the 3 hotels mentioned do you like the best. Oh, by the way we are in our early 30's if that makes a difference.
Thanks-
HB

Well, from my experience of course it depends on what you like.

MGM is really big with decent rooms, and (to me) more family style atmostphere and a huge very busy, casino.

Paris is more sophisticated with very nice shops and cafes. The rooms are good, but ours was a little on the small side.

I don't know about Monte Carlo, it seems nice enough but a little older...

Of those three, I'd go with Paris as it is the most sophisticated. Enjoy a nice dinner at Mon Ami Gabi seated outside with a view of the Bellagio fountains - BEAUTIFUL!

Monte Carlo has a great location but the only good reason to stay there is if the rooms are cheap. Bally's has nice rooms and sometimes has good rates. We found a good price at Treasure Island for early March.

Paris is the nicest to me. We stayed at the Monte Carlo. It was okay, not fabulous. MGM just seems nice to visit, not that fancy though.

This is a no-brainer. The Venetian, hands down. I'm a "semi-local", and have stayed at them all just about. Luxor is unique and well worth a stay with much to do. But ah....the Venetian. If you don't stay there, at least tour it and the shoppes, it's a trip unto itself.

Venetian wasn't even a choice the OP was considering but anyone that goes to Venetian when they can go to Bellagio is CRAZY. THe food at Venetian is HORRIBLE! Don't even bother with the Italian restaurants in the plaza by the so called river the seafood there are SICK and not fresh at all

Thanks so much for your replies! Unforunately the rates sky-rocketed yesterday afternoon. Ended up booking the Luxor instead. Any feedback would be appreciated if you have stayed there. Again, thanks for the help!!

Stayed at the Luxor in 2000 and it was very nice. Our room was in the pyramid and had plenty of space. The bathroom was all marble and the service was great. We enjoy room service late at night - and we were pleased. Although the location is at the end of the strip we really did not mind. The Luxor's casino is not quite as crazy as some so it's nice for first timers.

I've stayed at the Luxor about 4yrs ago. We had a room in the tower. We really liked this hotel. Rooms were nice. This is a pretty hotel. I heard the rooms in the tower were nicer than the pyramid rooms.

Not sure about the tower rooms, but our Pyramid room 4 years ago was absolutely fine. Very comfortable, and a great view of the Strip. As another poster said, Luxor is unique...

The Luxor is fine.
If you like gourmet Mexican food, walk over to the Mandalay Bay and try the Border Grill. It is excellent, although more expensive then your typical Tex Mex.
Also, if you like the music of ABBA, get tickets for Mama Mia at the Mandalay Bay. The plot is a little silly but the singing is great.

Have any of you recently stayed there? I just read a bunch of review on tripadvisor.com and it doesn't sound so great. I'm not that picky but clean rooms are important.

We just got back yesterday and of the 3 I'd take Paris. The others are fine, some of our group stayed at MC but Paris has the best location-central, a great breakfast buffet (thank god we walked a lot) and a nice atmosphere.
