Vegas July 4th - Bellagio, Venetian or Mirage?

Going to Vegas 1st time 7/2-7/6. Out of these three hotels what are the opinions with regard to best combination of great room, great pool and atmosphere in general? We are a couple in early 40's,travelling without our children. We do think we want to stay midstrip. Want to stay somewhere that we will thoroughly enjoy, without feeling that we have to conform to dress codes. I have read so many different good and not so good reviews on all of these places. Pool and tropical theme of Mirage seems appealing, but not sure about the rooms. Prices are not that far off from eachother. (Based on So.West packages from Boston) Which place is really worth it for my money? (I'm figuring this will be the only time I see Vegas) Thanks for your help!!

Hands down Bellagio..
If the Wynn is available, I would look into that as well.
Both properties are luxurious with great pools, rooms are wonderful.
Have a great time in Vegas..

TahitiTams, Thanks for your reply. I have two questions...why Bellagio specifically over the others(based on what Im searching for)? and I looked at the Wynn, which looks great, but is it as good a location as midstrip?

Hi Ronan,
I have stayed 6-7 times at the Wynn and for Vegas, new is key and luxury is what you will find in the beds, linens, duvets, goose down pillows, plasma tv and for me that goes along way..
Bellagio is another luxurious property and ranked right up there with the Wynn as far as 5*..
The Mirage and the V are great properties and don't get me wrong but they just don't compare..rooms are large at the V but IMO they are dated..
Pool time will be limited since its July and you will find you will go in the morning or later in the day..
Pool at the Wynn and Bellagio are stunning..being that you are going over the 4th of July could be crazy with kids at the Mirage/V..
The Wynn would be my first choice and the we usually stay in the resort rooms which are perfect for my husband and I and we dress casual too..

In terms of the standard rooms, I think the Bellagio and Mirage are comparable. I don't find them to be very large, but they're certainly nice. The Venetian's rooms are certainly bigger. Bellagio's big advantage is, of course, the ability to get a fountain-view room.

Of the three, I would probably go for the Bellagio. If they're all roughly the same price, then the Mirage falls out of the running - the amenities, restaurants, common areas aren't as good as Bellagio or Venetian. Bellagio has great location, an excellent pool, and great restaurants. You certainly couldn't go wrong with the Venetian, but I just think the whole package is better at the Bellagio.

Btw, I don't think you really have to worry about dress codes anywhere in Vegas unless you're headed for a trendy nightclub.
