Vegas Italian Restaurants
 

Will be in Vegas in a few weeks, looking for a good, mid-priced Italian restaurant, preferably on or near the strip. Trying to decide between Fiamma's at MGM, Bertolini's in the Forum Shops or any other suggestions. Prefer traditional great pasta dishes vs gourmet. I've been to Il Forniao at NY/NY hotel, pretty good but looking to try something else.
Any suggestions?

Maggiano's is on the second floor (front) in Fashion Show Mall (on the strip across from Wynn's). They have a website you might want to check out.

If you don't mind getting a bit off the beaten path in Vegas, try Tivoli Garden. Great food and wine, and the wait staff is very nice.

The location isn't bad at all, but is strange because it looks as if it is a hole in the wall in a stripmall type place. The inside is cute and candle light is everywhere. It is not the over the top places you will find on the strip, but a family owned one of a kind italian place.

for simple, classic fare, try the famous Battista's.

The servings were so huge that we boxed the leftovers up and took them back to our timeshare condo. the leftovers really hit the spot after an evening of gambling!

I liked Il Fornaio at NYNY.

Or sorry, I see you've already tried Il Fornaio.

How about Il Mulino. I've only eaten the NY City location....the food was outstanding!

Go to Battista's! A total old-school, fun, Vegas experience!

Battista's is indeed a lot of fun, they serve gigantic portions, and it is cheap. If you aren't looking for quality at all, just fun and lots to eat, it would be a good choice. If you are into fine Italian cooking, you might want to look elsewhere.

Bertolini's won't win any major food prizes either, but the food is of far better quality, and it's about the same price. If it's more important to have leftovers, stick with Battista's.

I was going to say, "just my opinion, of course", but a few searches will tell you I'm far from alone in that regard.
