Vegas in November

My wife and I are going to Vegas on buisness however we don't gamble. What else is there to do? Also we need to stay at a hotel on the strip. What do you recommend?
Thanks

This should be an interesting thread. I mean, the flip answer to "What do you DO in Vegas?" is "Gamble, eat and smoke."

Certainly there are things to do in the city. You can lounge by the pool at your swank Strip hotel (and you should spend some green-- have some fun!!), utilize any spa facilities they might have (and some are quite upscale), tour the other Strip resorts (they are a sight!), take in a show (one of the Cirque du Soleil shows, Blue Man Group, maybe Rita Rudner at NYNY, Sigfried & Roy [eeewwww...], etc.), partake in fine dining. There are area attractions, like Hoover Dam, but I've never gone to see them myself.

As far as your hotel choice, how much do you REALLY want to spend? And how "Vegas" do you want it? Do you want a place so tacky that you think, "Where's the wine to go with all this Vegas cheese?!", or do you want class and not crass? Check out good ol' cheapovegas.com for irreverent but spot-on appraisals of Vegas resorts. My personal recommendation would be either Mandalay Bay or Mirage, but that's me.

We just went for 5 days and had alot of fun, and we don't gamble either! Get a hotel with a great pool, get tix to "O" (if you can!), see Blue Man Group, see a concert, eat, eat, eat, drive to Red Rock Canyon and go hiking, drive to Hoover Dam and take a tour, go to House of Blues and hear some music, take tours of the beautiful hotels with themes, see the art gallery (can't remember which hotel it is in), go see the Freemont Street lights at night, take a gondola ride in the new Italian hotel (what's it called again?), take a ride to the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris, watch the mime in front of Paris (if you can be there at the right time), go to the top of the Stratosphere and see all of Vegas (or go on the roller coaster up there if you are brave), watch the fountains go off at the Bellagio, I could go on and on. Have fun!

Oh, it's the Venitian I was trying to remember with the gondola rides!! But get a reservation early in the day, we couldn't get in. Also, we had buffet brunch at Paris that was incredible, but not cheap! Very high quality food and a nice setting there. That was actually the only buffet we went to the whole trip.

The art gallery (Guggenheim) is in the Venetian, and so is the Wax Museum.
