If your group has young children in it, then I would suggest Treasure Island. If not, definitely Paris. It is gorgeous.

I second Lori's recomendations. Paris is also better located than Treasure Island.

Hi Keith,
I was in Las Vegas in September and stayed at the Mirage. I loved it, had no complaints. I had a view of the volcano from my room. The pool area is excellent, best I have seen in Vegas, much, much larger than TI. There is a tram which connects TI to the Mirage which runs all the time. The hotel is right in the middle of the strip, walking distance to Caesar's, the Venetian is directly across the street. The show Mystere at TI was incredible. The Mirage has a comfortable casino, where as TI was a bit more noisy. I have friends who have stayed at both the Mirage and TI and said both were very good. I am a bit partial to the Mirage (can you tell?) Hope you have a great trip no matter where you stay!!

Caesar's Palace would be my pick. I visited Paris when I was staying at the Venetian this past October and wasn't that impressed. It's nice but it looked a lot like NYNY with a French accent. I wasn't happy with the layout of the casino - everything is too crammed together and many of the floors in the casino are cobblestone, which does not make for the most comfortable walk. I don't know anything about the rooms. Also, I am judging the hotel by Las Vegas standards. There are so many other options available - like Caesar's Palace or Mirage or Mandalay Bay, etc., that I would pick over Paris.

I don't know if this will help, but we were told (during a Thanksgiving week stay) that AAA rated Treasure Island four diamonds. The recent renovation made the rooms just lovely! By the way, the crowds at Paris are unbelievably bad. The place as busy as an airport at Christmas! BTW, while Treasure Island rated 4 diamonds, Mirage did not! Enjoy.

If it's a stag weekend and it's partying you want, you may want to think about the Rio. Between the Voodoo Lounge and Club Rio, you will party till the cows come home. Only disadvantage is that it is off the strip, and you will have to take either cabs or the shuttle bus to get anywhere. Also, for a great time, do check out a club called The Beach.

I agree with Lori. The Rio would be a good choice for a party week. Treasure Island is nice but be warned - there are a lot of kids there. Other good hotels to party in are the Hard Rock (also off the strip) and Mandaley Bay, which has some pretty cool restaurants and bars and has become somwhat of a hang-out for twenty-somethings.

If you're under 35, looking for some great options for socializing and a good place to party, best casinos are Hard Rock and Rio in my opinion. Both are a bit off the strip, which is a negative, but they make up for this negative in other ways.

I know how you feel. We went to Vegas in October and stayed at the Luxor. BEAUTIFUL hotel!! I would definetly stay there again. Bellagio is NICE also, but expensive. I liked Paris, but it is crowded. My friend stayed at Treasure Island a few weeks ago, and said it was nice. They had a view of the pirate show from there room. New York, New York is nice too, also the Venetian. You might want to look into those hotels. If I had my choice of which hotel to choose, I would say my first choice is Bellagio, next would be Paris or Ventian.
Good Luck!! No matter where you decide, you all will have FUN!

Please ignore the response from the previous person. You're sure to have a great time in Vegas and be treated warmly. I'll bet they'll even have a Guinness waiting for you! Have fun, and win lots! (by the way, if you're not sure how to play some of the games, most casinos offer free short courses on them that you may find very helpful.)

Sounds to me like the Monte Carlo is for you. It's located next to Bellagio, across from Paris in a great location. The price is great for a beautiful place. You can fan out and party all night long. We've been there several times. It's an adult hotel with a great brewery, nice pool, fast food court, and buffet. Elegance and location for a reasonable price. Monte Carlo is a sure bet.
